Snow Shoeing in the Garfagnana, Tuscany

Winter is a great time in the Garfagnana in Tuscany... and yes, it does snow too. Tuscany does actually has some ski resorts in the Apennines, such as Abetone, and a bit further on another main location of Monte Cimone, just across in Emilia Romagna.
Winter days are fresh, and there are alot of clear blue sky days, ideal for activities such as snow shoeing, when otherwise mountains would be inaccessible unless you are a skier. Snow shoeing, is not that difficult too, and once they are on your feet, strapped on to a normal pair of walking boots, one is then free to venture off through snow covered forests to open mountain ridges and more. No specific technique or previous experience is necessary.
